Anyone up for the first friday walk? We can meet at the Mexican Restaurant on Santa Fe, have some food perhaps a drink and then strike out to see what everyone is doing.
“ It was hard to keep a group of folks together for this kind of outing, but I had a lot of fun with the smaller group that I ended up going around with. I really liked that everyone was also an artist because everyone not only then knew alot about art but was very enthused about art. It's not very fun to look at art with folks who, when you ask them "so what do you think about that?", simply chug another glass of wine or mutter "I dunno" and promptly ask where the free cheese and crackers are. In contrast, I really like how everyone had an interesting opinion, for good or bad, about what we were checking out. Besides, Sante Fe Art Walk in the summer time is one giant party, so it's hard not to have fun. ”
“ It was very crowded. At one point I did see a group by the front door and thought maybe it was a part of us but did not recognize anyone. Then the dozen or so of us immediately got split up once we started to move around. I managed to stay with a four others but it was very hard in the crowd. Its a shame because there were some very nice folks that I really wanted to spend some time with and couldn't ...maybe next time. We also may have made some progress as to how to find a good space for our own art show. We talked to a couple different people about that. ”
