Hello Artists:

Are you looking for a part-time summer job?
Don't mind getting messy with glue, paints, and glitter?
Do you have experience working with children in an artistic setting?

The Warwick Museum of Art is currently interviewing for Summer Art Camp Instructors. The Summer Art Camp is in its 5th year now...gaining popularity every year! Last year we had a wait list for the Theater, Ceramics, Cartoon Illustration and Drawing classes.

The Summer Camp Art program runs June 23 - August 8th.
(no camp the week of July 4th)

Last year, we offered classes in:
Figure Drawing,
Ceramics,
Cartoon and Illustration,
Basic Arts and Crafts
Painting
Recycled Sculpture
Intro to Provisation
Scrapbooking and Collage
Bookmaking
Drawing
Origami and Jewelry Making
Fabric Painting and
Art History - Art through the Years.

Class sizes are small, no more than 12 children per session (with a minimum of 4 students to run a session), and are held inside in our downstairs (airconditioned) classroom.

You would be hired as a temporary employee, W-2

If you are interested in applying to instruct one or more of these topics, or perhaps you have a proposal for a class not listed here, please send your information to
wmoa @ warwickmuseum.org

including your resume, and topics of interest.

Thanks!
Laura A.

Wondering if there are computers available, love to teach a class on the future of Art and Design with the internet. Especially the emergence of virtual worlds and video gaming.

Hi -

Sorry, we aren't set up with a computer lab (to give you some idea, I literally just got one computer for the office to replace the other one is Windows 95!).

There's just good old fashioned paint and paper studio.

Thanks,
Laura
