    •  First off, the Embassy is beautiful. The films, in my opinion, were hit and miss. Spain's Hezurbeltzak, Common Grave (Izibene Oñederra) was one of my favorites as I am drawn to linear and autographic aesthetics, and a psychoanalytic art historian would have a field day with its explicitly sexual content! France's representative, Géraldine, was an audience favorite and by far the most humorous; an abridged and contemporary version of Orlando or Victor/Victoria. The Day Winston Ngakambe Came to Kiel, by Germany's Jasper Ahrens, was the smartest--a darkly funny reversal of colonialism wherein an African man lands on a Kiel beach and announces how he will make the natives' lives better. The food afterwards was very tasty!
