Gather up your pens, pencils, paints, computer, clay and other supplies and come art with us. This meet up is an opportunity to work on anything you have in progress, seek positive feedback, or just chat with other artists who work on various mediums. We have recently started experimenting with collaborative arts as well, so if you're inclined, we have some pieces for people to contribute to as well. A laptop will be available if you would like to share online gallery.

We're back at Minneapolis Institute of the Arts. Admission is free. There is a small lobby with tables near the coffee shop *on the first floor* if you want to sit with the group or you can walk around and take a look at the incredible collection that MIA has. It's been a crazy summer, but it's time to get back into the swing of things with another sketch session, so gather up your pens, pencils, paints, computer, clay and other supplies and come art with us. This meet up is an opportunity to work on anything you have in progress, seek positive feedback, or just chat with other artists who work on various mediums. We have recently started experimenting with collaborative arts as well, so if you're inclined, we have some pieces for people to contribute to as well. At present, we haven't picked a new venue to host meetings, and as such, no venue has been selected. When you RSVP, please give us some ideas! For this meeting in particular, we may call it a field trip and visit someplace like the Como Pavillion, MIA, or the Sculpture Garden if people are interested and the weather is agreeable. So check back and we'll make sure we sent updates as to the locale of this particular meetup.

Time for another sketch session at Patrick's Cabaret, so gather up your pens, pencils, paints, computer, clay and other supplies and come art with us. This meet up is an opportunity to work on anything you have in progress, seek positive feedback, or just chat with other artists who work on various mediums. We have recently started experimenting with collaborative arts as well, so if you're inclined, we have some pieces for people to contribute to as well. Please note that this meet up is at a different time than usual. We will be starting at 5 pm and going til 8 pm instead of our usual 4-7.

Patrick's Cabaret is in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis, centrally located just off of Lake Street and Minnehaha Avenue South. Find directions at http://www.patrickscabaret.org/about/directions.shtml and take a look around the site to learn more about Patrick's.

This meeting will a typical MAMU meeting. 4:00-7:00 PM. Be ready to draw/sketch/paint/discuss to your hearts content!

Note that we at Patrick's Cabaret, still centrally located in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis. One thing that is different about this space is that they have fewer tables, so if you have a drawing board you might want to bring it so you can move around the space more freely.

Please bring drawing, painting, sculpting, etc. supplies if you want to create, or examples or picture of work you want to share. We will provide a variety of objects for sketching, but we also make a point of bringing print references as well. We would also appreciate if you would come prepared to buy a soda or snack to help us cover the cost of the venue- send us recommendations and we'll be glad to accommodate your request if possible!

A laptop will also be provided if you have an online gallery.
